Warwick Playground Dreams has been raising funds within the community for the purpose of rebuilding the aging Stanley-Deming playground, in order to make it an ADA-accessible and fully inclusive playground. It is our dream to create an outdoor play space in our town, safe and exciting for children of all ages and abilities. This will allow children using wheelchairs, those with sensory processing disorders, visual impairments or the many other challenges children face, to be able to play alongside his or her peers, enjoying the right of every child – outdoor play.
We are currently in the component sponsorship phase of our fundraising process and have been overwhelmed with the amazing support we have received so far from the community. We would like to take the opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to the following businesses, organizations and families that have chosen to financially sponsor a particular piece of playground equipment:
JCI Jones Chemical Inc.: The Fort; Warwick Lions Club: Apple Tree House; The Gregorio Family: Apple Orchard Rock Climbing Wall; Greenpoint Insurance Brokerage: Companion Swing and Octagon Bench; Warwick’s White House: Team Dish Swing; Passport Corporation: Roller Coaster Bridge; Rob Horowitz Family & Janet Cuttner: Bronze Sponsor; State Farm – Williams Insurance and Financial Services, Inc.: Fireman’s Pole; 2018 Read-A-Thon Participants: Children of our community including Park Ave. & Sanfordville students: Ninja Posts; Stephanie Wegner: Four-foot Wide Slide; Track 7 Postal Center: ALL 7 Transfer Stations; Lucas Speech Pathology: ALL Phones; Michael Hodge Realtor, Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty: Wave Bridge; and Warwick Valley Financial Advisors: Step Ladder.
What makes Warwick one of the best places on earth is its strong sense of community. We know that our children will benefit from the generosity of all who have given for generations to come.
