It is to be expected that if Yesterday’s restaurant relocation to 16 Elm St. is successful, that Friday and Saturday nights the parking lot will quickly fill to capacity and the adjoining streets and parking areas will be sought for parking.
From Village green it is a short walk across the railroad bridge to Elm St. People walk that stretch already, mostly during daylight hours.
Living adjacent to the Warwick Freight Line, I am aware that the trains run north to Campbell Hall early evening and return through Warwick between approximately 10 p.m.-3 a.m. – the same hours that patrons of Yesterday’s restaurant and who are not local and familiar with the irregular train schedule might be walking/crossing the tracks to reach their cars while “impaired” by alcohol.
We really don’t need to have our peaceful neighborhood disturbed and we are just now generating a whole lot of animosity toward our good John Christison and our Village executives.
Our community is being divided between those who are for the relocation and those who are very anxious for our health and quality of life.
