On Tues., Dec. 12, voters will head to the polls to elect a new Fire Commissioner in the Florida Fire District.
Fire Commissioners oversee and administer the budget of the Fire District as well as oversee assets of the District that include lifesaving equipment among other tasks. It is imperative that those serving on this board possess relevant experience in order to continue to guide the Fire Department to keep you, the residents, safe and protected.
In my almost 40 years as a volunteer firefighter in the District, I’ve responded to thousands of fires, accidents and EMS calls. For six years I served as Assistant Chief and most recently for three years as Chief of the Department. During that time, I successfully lead the team of volunteers who leave their families at all hours, on weekends and holidays to respond to your emergencies.
I have been passionate about serving this community and have extensive experience in the field of Firefighting and Emergencies. It is time I offer my services once again to our community to help continue to move our Fire District forward. I will make it my mission to serve the residents of the District and especially those who volunteer to insure they have what they need to keep you and your loved ones safe.
Please help me help you, vote at the Florida Fire House on Tues., Dec. 12 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
