On behalf of the Warwick Sesquicentennial Committee, the Warwick Lions Club and the Warwick Rotary Club, we would like to thank the local businesses and members of the community who made our Valentine’s Day Dance for Seniors a huge success.
Food was donated by Subway, Blarney Station, Plum House, Luca’s, Pennings, Edenville Deli, Country Dream, Long Spring, Charlotte’s Tea Room, TNT, Benito’s, ShopRite, Asian Delicacies, Jean Claude’s Bakery, Italian Villa, Bellvale Market, Opa! Greek Grill, Candy Apple Shop, Yesterday’s, and by members of the Warwick Lions Club and the Rotary Club.
We would also like to send a special thanks to the Park Avenue School staff, especially Principal Sandy Wood, who graciously opened her school to us, had the children decorate the gym for the dance and had her custodial staff assist us with setting up and cleaning up. Thanks to Curtis from Park Avenue who was such a big help. Special thanks to Diane Beck in the cafeteria who warmed up food and helped us serve.
Thank you to the young people who helped set up and serve – the Interact Club, the Thunderbolts and St. Stephen’s confirmation candidates.
We want to thank the Wire Choir from the high school who performed during dinner and the New York Swing Exchange who brought us back to the 40s with their great music. One hundred fifty seniors enjoyed a special evening commemorating our Village’s 150th anniversary!
