The Friends of the Florida Public Library (FPL) and the FPL Board of Trustees would like to thank everyone who helped make our 5th Annual Spring Tea on Sat., Jun. 2 a success. Caterer Kate Misciagna of Katie Cooks provided the savory and sweet treats and Janet Picarelli of Janet’s Baked Goods donated an array of desserts and the bread for Kate’s delicious tea sandwiches.
Our thanks to Down2Earth for providing gluten-free delights. Prizes and baskets for the drawing were donated by local businesses including Scissors Hair Salon, Northern Bear Pet and Food Supplies, New Beginnings Spa, Moon Stone Melody, ShopRite of Chester, ShopRite of Warwick, Walden Savings Bank and the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Diane Arcieri, Marie Arnstein, Ashley Baroch, Shirley Coughlin, Judy Duboff, Ann Marie Kowalczyk, Anne Ossentjuk, JoAnn Schultz, Nancy and Bob Scott, and Rochelle Weiler donated individual baskets.
Thanks also go to Jensen’s Nursery, which loaned us beautiful ornamental trees in bloom for the décor. We thank Madelyn Folino for providing a lovely array of spring flowers from her garden and the students from S.S. Seward Institute, who provided table service. Many thanks to Master Gardener Barbara Vaughan, our featured speaker, who demonstrated the art of floral arranging. And a big thank you to Cecelia Lillard for her help coordinating the program and to Annette Shaughnessy and Meg Sgombick at FPL and all our committee members for all their help.
Finally, to the lovely women, many sporting fanciful hats, who came out to support the Florida Public Library and enjoyed a wonderful and elegant afternoon, thank you.
