Most Desperate Kitchen

For Gilsenan Designs, the Desperate Kitchen Contest was a first,
and a sign of the ever-changing economy. “We’ve
never done marketing,” said Rosita Gilsenan, owner and
President. “We’ve always been kept busy by builders
and word of mouth. This was a first for us.” In recent
times, the business, which used to be primarily residential,
has kept productivity up with larger projects, such as Crystal
Springs Grand Cascade Lodge.
Well, their first marketing strategy has proven a successful
venture, garnering 70 candidates from Warwick, Monroe, Chester,
Vernon, even Westchester. Applicants had to submit photos, an
