The Florida Public Library, located at 4 Cohen Cir. in Florida, announces that Maxwell Kofi Donkor will perform at the library on Sat., Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. The program is for families and drumming enthusiasts of all ages. Anyone who has an African drum is encouraged to bring it to the library and join the drumming circle.
Kofi Donkor was born in Ghana, West Africa. He grew up in an Asante village and became a master drummer at an early age. He has shared his Asante music and culture throughout the United States. As master drummer, award winning sculptor, and artist, Maxwell Kofi Donkor provides an exceptional multicultural experience to his audiences. His performance promises to get everyone involved, audience and performers alike.
