There is nothing corny at the amazing maize maze at the Wright Family Farm, located at 329 Kings Hwy. in Warwick. This year the design of the corn maze will pay tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the TV special, “Its The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.”
The Peanuts Company reached out to the Maize Company which cuts corn mazes and designs for about 100 farms in the United States, including the Wright Family Farm. John and Bobbie Wright who have changed the theme of their corn maze for the last 10 years, picked Snoopy with his dog house after applying to the Peanuts Company in March.
Members of the Wright Family planted the corn in late May. About a month later, the Maize Company from Utah cut the design in the corn field which is now eight to 10 feet tall. Each participant who travels through the maze will be playing, “Great Pumpkin Bingo” scratch off game with 10 clues scattered along the paths of the maze. One winner from each farm participating in the 50th Anniversary will be entered in a drawing for a grand prize trip for four to see the Peanuts Gang at Knotts Berry Farm in California.
