This year marks the 29th anniversary of Warwick Applefest, a major annual fundraiser sponsored by the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held on Sun., Oct. 1 in the Village of Warwick. Since it began, Applefest has grown into a top event in the region and now attracts some 35,000 visitors annually.
To help ensure the success of this important fundraiser, festival organizers seek the support of sponsors. Organizers look forward to welcoming both returning and new sponsors to the event’s “Sponsorship Row.”
The names of Applefest sponsors will be branded with various levels of recognition, prior to and during the festival, including banners, print, radio, and digital advertising. Sponsors at specific levels also have the opportunity to take orders and sell items at their booth.
This year’s sponsorship packet, posted on the Applefest website, describes the opportunities and benefits of the different sponsorship levels. Applefest T-shirt Design Contest
The Applefest 2017 Committee announces this year’s T-shirt Design Competition. The competition is open to all residents of Warwick, including Florida and Greenwood Lake. Adult and student entrants are encouraged to submit one or more designs and the winning design will be printed on T-shirts to be sold at Applefest. The entry form with rules may be downloaded at http://www.warwickapplefest.com/2017/05/18/tshirt-contest/ or picked up at the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce office in the Caboose, located on South St.
The following prizes will be awarded in the adult category: first prize – a $50 Warwick Merchant Guild gift certificate; second prize – a $25 Warwick Merchant Guild gift certificate; and third prize – a $10 Warwick Merchant Guild gift certificate. The following prizes will be awarded in the student category: first prize – a $20 Warwick Merchant Guild gift certificate; second prize – a $15 Warwick Merchant Guild gift certificate; and third prize – a $10 Warwick Merchant Guild gift certificate.
The gift certificates may be used at a wide variety of stores, restaurants and businesses in the Town of Warwick. The winning design will be chosen by the Applefest Committee and printed on Applefest 2017 T-shirts. All entries will be displayed in store windows on Main St. before Applefest.
The entry rules are as follows:
- Artwork image must be no larger than 12×12 inches, designed in no more than four colors, and printed on paper (no online entries) for submission.
- All three of the following MUST be included in the design: Applefest 2017, 29th Annual, and Warwick, NY or Warwick, New York.
- The artist’s name or signature should appear somewhere at the bottom of the design.
- Complete and attach the bottom of the entry form to the back of the artwork and paper clip to the artwork a stamped, self-addressed envelope (SASE) for notification.
- Artwork must be dropped off at the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce Caboose, located on South St. by Fri., Jul. 14.
After Applefest, entries will be available for pickup at the Chamber of Commerce Caboose until Fri., Nov. 3. For more information send an email to email@example.com.
