New York State Assemblyman Karl A. Brabenec announces that he will seek a third term. Brabenec said his goals and priorities in the next few years are meaningful property tax relief for New York residents and small businesses, along with controlling state spending, protecting law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders, and advocating for the agricultural community.
During an event where he made the announcement, Brabenec received the official endorsement from Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois, Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus, the Town of Deerpark and the City of Port Jervis Republican committees, and several other Orange County Legislators including Legislator James O’Donnell, who is seeking to challenge U.S. Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney in the fall.
During his remarks, Brabenec announced the formation of the “Team Orange 2018” ticket and named its initial candidates, including himself, DuBois, O’Donnell, Surrogate Court Judge Robert Onofry who is seeking reelection, and County Court Judge Robert Freehill who is seeking a seat on the New York State Supreme Court.
