Greenwood Lake Yoga, located at 69 Windermere Ave. in Greenwood Lake, hosted a casual welcoming event for the community on Sun., Feb. 11.
Sarah Snider and Sean Beach are the owners of Greenwood Lake Yoga. Sarah, originally from Indianapolis, relocated to New York City and lives part time in the area. She works backstage on Broadway in the costume department for “Phantom of the Opera.” Sarah, who teaches Yoga in Harlem, NY, is a certified yoga instructor, and also a prenatal instructor. She has brought her passion for teaching yoga to Greenwood Lake.
Sean is originally from Colorado and currently lives on Greenwood Lake in Hewitt, NJ. He also works on Broadway in the lighting department for Disney’s “Frozen,” and is excited to open up a business in the Greenwood Lake community.
The yoga studio currently offers a new student welcome package of three classes for $30. Students, seniors, military personnel, veterans, police, firefighters, and paramedics will receive a discount. Additional classes will be added to the schedule in March and beyond including yoga for school age children as well as prenatal and postnatal classes. The studio will also have three additional certified teachers who will be part of the Greenwood Lake Yoga team.
Both Sarah and Sean expressed a desire to be part of the Greenwood Lake community, to bring yoga to G.L. and to get to know the residents of the beautiful Village. A ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration is planned for the spring. More information will be posted on the website.
