Story by Lourice Angie
‘Wine Time’ Wine and Liquors, located at 583-5 Rt. 94, in the Flowick Plaza in Warwick, celebrated their official ribbon cutting ceremony on Thurs., Nov. 1 with the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, local and Town officials, family and friends.
The event brought about 65 guests, the largest turnout for a ribbon cutting ceremony to date. Guests and customers enjoyed a complimentary wine tasting with a variety of food pairings, but wines and liquors can be tasted every day at the store’s ‘tasting bar.’
In addition to the tasty perks, the celebration continued with a not for profit raffle where guests received a chance to win several prizes, including a bottle of wine, Wine Time T-shirts, and tickets to see a live show at the Newton Theatre.
The family operated business specializes in some of the best small production wines and craft liquors being made today. Owner Mark Chisholm has 33 years of experience in the wine and liquor industry and quite an impressive knowledge in the craft. Chisholm invites customers to learn and explore the best wine and liquor that the industry has to offer while encouraging them to “drink wine and not labels,” as he explains that national brands raise the bar in price, not quality.
He provides his customers with detailed information on the extensive inventory that he offers, including origin, taste, ratings and more. This experience makes it both easy and enjoyable for the consumer to make a decision and truly appreciate their buy.
