The Brian Ahearn Children’s Fund is a Warwick-based, 501 (c)(3) organization founded in 1998. Brian was a 14-year-old boy who passed away in August of 1998 after a ten-month battle with brain cancer. The Fund’s mission is to help families with seriously ill children or families with children dealing with a severe hardship. The BACF has distributed over $1.1 million in support of this mission since its inception. That includes $80,000 distributed in 2016.
Those who wish to support the fund but are unable to participate in the outing may make a donation. The Children’s Fund is an all-volunteer organization and 95 percent of all donations go directly to the mission of helping area families. Checks can be mailed to BACF, P.O. Box 550, Warwick, NY 10990.
