This months Repair Café, sponsored by Sustainable Warwick, will be held on Sat., Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Warwick Senior Center, located at 132 Kings Hwy. in Warwick. Bring broken items and get them fixed for free by volunteer repair coaches. There is a limit of two items per person. Items that can be brought to the Repair Café include: mechanical and electrical; things made of wood; clothing and textiles; soft toys such as dolls and stuffed animals; electronic and digital devices; knife and tool sharpening; and basic jewelry and bike repairs, including gears or de-railers. There will be a charge for lamp and bike parts at Repair Café costs.
A “Take Apart Table” will be set up for children. Also, a certified diabetes educator/registered dietitian will be on site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free glucose meters, tip sheets and healthy recipes will be available.
