Better Homes and Gardens/Rand Realty will host an antiques appraisal event on Sat., Sept. 17 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the old Warwick railroad station, located at 25 Railroad Ave. in Warwick, the current offices of Better Homes and Gardens/Rand Realty. All proceeds will benefit the Village of Florida’s Seward/Mapes Homestead Restoration Project. Renowned estate appraiser and auctioneer, William J. Jenack, will be casting his expert eyes on unique treasures, family heirlooms and all sorts of cool stuff to offer his estimates of their value and cast light on their history. Jenack will also be joined by other knowledgeable members of his team. Stamps and record albums will not be considered, but just about everything else will. The cost is $5 per appraisal and admission is free. For more information call 986-4848, visit www.sewardhomestead.org or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
