The four local Fire Districts located in the Town of Warwick will hold elections for Fire District Commissioners on Tues., Dec. 12 in each for their Districts. All positions up for election are for a five year term commencing on Jan. 1, 2018 and ending on Dec. 31, 2022.
The only contested race is in the Florida Fire District with two candidates, Timothy “Fuzzy” Brunswick and Michael A. Coleman, running for the one seat available as Commissioner. Voters can cast their ballot from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Florida Fire House, located at 19 South Main St. in Florida.
In Greenwood Lake, Steve Defeo is running unopposed. Voters in the Greenwood Lake Fire District can vote from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Greenwood Lake Joint Fire District office, located at 2 Sterling Rd. in Greenwood Lake.
Floyd Morgiewicz is running unopposed for Pine Island Fire Commissioner. The vote will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Pine Island Fire House, located at 684 County Rte. 1 in Pine Island.
Also running unopposed is George Schick for Warwick Fire Commissioner. Voters in the Warwick Fire District can cast their ballot from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Warwick Fire House, located at 25 Church St. in Warwick.
