Warwick Fire Department Engine Company #3 held their first meeting on Apr. 4, 1967. A formal meeting was held at the South St. Ext. location and the following members were present: from the Raymond Hose Co #2, H. Schmick, R. Schmick, J. Rader, H. Ten Kate, R. Ten Kate, Fred Knierieman, and Reinhard Knierieman; from the Excelsior Hose Co. #1, Don Coates, Kenneth Langlitz, Walter Toffel, George Filipowski, Richard Reilly, and William Dedrick; and from the Goodwill Hook and Ladder Co. #1, Ed Carr, Norman Carr, William Utter, and Steven Ernhout. J. Rader and N. Carr were both past chiefs of the Warwick Fire Department. The new members to join were Robert Ball, Herman Youngman, Joe Hawkins, Rich Scorzelli and Rev James Zwernemann. The Village Board approved the 22 names for membership and Engine Company #3 with its set of By-Laws was formed. The company soon went to 25 members.
