Chester Academy high school art students, under the direction of art teacher, Marie Kriner, recently delivered painted guitars to Village of Chester Mayor Tom Bell as part of the promotion of the Summer Chester Music Concert Series that begins on Tues., Jun. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Historic Downtown, located at 47 Main St. in Chester, NY. The concert series is a joint collaboration of the Village of Chester and the Chester Historical Society and is coordinated by Mike Farrow.
The students were given free creative reign to decorate their guitars and the results are stunning. The guitars are being used to promote the Chester Concert Series and will be on display in the downtown area of the Village of Chester over the summer. Six guitars will be chosen to be raffled off at the Bill Perry Jazz Tribute Show on Sun., Jul. 29.
