The Albert Wisner Public Library, located at 1 McFarland Dr. in Warwick NY, in collaboration with the Friends of Hathorn House, will host a new hand spinning group. Anyone interested in learning the portable and ancient art of hand spinning wool and other fibers into yarn using a drop spindle is welcome to join. Participants do not need an expensive or complicated spinning wheel to make hand spun yarn.
The group will hold their first meeting on Fri., Apr. 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Library board room. Those not having a spindle or wool can contact the Library to arrange for the loan of a spindle. Sample wool can be supplied for $5.To R.S.V.P. send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
