The Friends of Hill-Hold and Brick House Museums will host the 38th annual “Herb Day Lecture and Luncheon” fundraising event on Tues., Aug. 7. The program will begin at 10 a.m. in the Graham Skea Lodge at the Thomas Bull Memorial Park, located at 211 Rte. 416 in Montgomery, NY, with a presentation by Master Gardener Patti Martellaro on “Fragrant Herbs for the Kitchen & Crafts.” Guests will then gather at the Hill-Hold historic homestead for a three-course, herb-themed luncheon prepared by Eagle’s Nest Catering and served under a tent on the front lawn.
Participants will also have an opportunity to win door prizes, bid on items in the Silent Auction and buy a chance to win one of several beautiful herb baskets. There will also be herb plants and merchandise from the Goosetown Gift Shop for sale and everyone is encouraged to take a stroll through the charming colonial herb garden.
The cost for Herb Day is $45 per person, which includes admission to the lecture and lunch. Advance registration and pre-payment are required. To make a reservation call 615-3828.
