The Orange County Amateur Radio Club (OCARC) will offer ham radio instructional classes on the following Saturdays, Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Goshen Emergency Communications Center, located at 110 Wells Farm Rd. in Goshen, NY. The FCC exam, which consists of 35 questions, will be given immediately following the class on Sat., Oct. 27. Those who pass the exam will receive a Technician Class Amateur License from the FCC.
The classes are free, no prior experience is needed, and there is no age limitation for holding the Technician Class License. Students must purchase the Q&A instructional manual. The OCARC offers frequent opportunities for public service, operating on the air, and continued learning.
