The Warwick Wine Garden and Piano Bar, located at 22 McEwen St. in Warwick NY, will host a celebration of the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby on Sat., May 5. The event entitled, “Talk Derby To Me” will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., followed by a “Derby After” party. Proceeds from the celebration will benefit the Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center in Warwick NY.
“Talk Derby to Me” will feature many of the traditions of this historic Kentucky Derby including: Run for the Roses Afternoon of Fun; champagne and peach bourbon mint juleps; southern style Kentucky fare; a twin spires dessert cake; a ladies hat pageant at 5:15, with prizes awarded; live music with the Brian Bardell Trio; “Winslow’s Winner Circle Derby Chance” with prizes; Duck Derby donations; a multi-screen viewing of the race at 6:34 p.m.; and an after party for those wishing to continue the celebration. Guests are encouraged to attend wearing typical Kentucky Derby attire.
