There is no better way to kick off the “good weather season” in Greenwood Lake than having great events every weekend! This past weekend we kicked off the Hoboken International Film Festival in Greenwood Lake, seeing great stars walking around our downtown such as Louis Gossett, Jr., Martin Cove, Julie McCullough, and many others. Movies continue to be shown all week at the beach, Cove Castle and our very own Elks Lodge.
The Chamber hosted a hilarious and entertaining Comedy Night at the beach on Saturday which brought a great crowd to see some very talented (and famous) comedians. The PTSA hosted a color run and despite pouring rain, was a huge success. I would like to personally thank everyone involved in making all these exciting events happen. Without the help and support of the community, none of this would be possible.
The Village Board is excited to announce that our Village-sponsored Health and Wellness programs are starting back up at the Thomas Morahan Waterfront Park beginning on Sat., Jun. 2. The FREE programs are: Zumba – Sat. at 9 a.m.; Yoga – Sun. at 8:30 a.m.; and Circuit Training – Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The G.L. Fire Department is running a golf outing on Fri., Jun. 8, and our highly-anticipated Chamber of Commerce Street Fair will be held on Sat., Jun. 9!
