The Greenwood Lake Public Library, located at 79 Waterstone Rd. in Greenwood Lake, will resume their Storytime Sessions and music with Melinda’s Music on Thurs., Oct. 5 and Fri., Oct. 6. Storytime is divided by age groups.
Weekly sessions for ages two and under will begin on Thurs., Oct. 5 from 11 to 11:45 a.m.; sessions for ages two to three will begin on Fri., Oct. 6 from 1 to 1:45 p.m.; and sessions for ages four to five will begin on Thurs., Oct. 5.
Weekly Pajama Storytime will begin on Wed., Oct. 11 from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. for children who are at least one year old through pre-kindergarten. There will be no Storytime on Thurs., Nov. 23 and Fri., Nov. 24 due to the Thanksgiving holiday and there will also be no Pajama Storytime on Wed., Nov. 1, Wed., Nov. 22 and Wed., Dec. 6.
Storytime sessions will begin with Ms. Erin reading age appropriate books on a broad spectrum of topics ranging from pumpkins to manners. Parents and children will then create crafts, play games and participate in fun activities all designed to compliment and reinforce the stories.
Melinda Burgard will return with one session a month, scheduled for Thurs., Oct. 5; Fri., Nov. 3; and Fri., Dec. 1 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. for newborn babies through children age five. Melinda has been providing music therapy and educational programs throughout Orange County and surrounding communities for both young and old.
All children seven years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration is required and can be done by calling 477-8377, ext. 104 or in person at the library.
