The historic colonial-style Baird’s Tavern, located at 103 Main St. in the Village of Warwick, will be the site of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce (WVCC) winter social event on Thurs., Feb. 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet, greet and socialize with business professionals from around the region in an old-time tavern setting where George and Martha Washington were also once guests. The stone building, built in 1766, was once home to an inn, a store and a tavern.
Today the full-service tavern is owned by the Warwick Historical Society and leased to Fetch Bar and Grill Owners, Adam Powers and John Barounis. Patrons can enjoy 10 beers on tap, wines and spirits Mon. through Fri. from 4 p.m. and Sat. and Sun. from 1 p.m. to closing. A special membership program with proceeds benefiting the historical society includes an engraved pewter mug, drink discounts and admission to special events.
The cost is $10 for WVCC members and their guests, and $20 for general admission. For more information or to make a reservation, call the WVCC at 986-2720 or send an email to email@example.com.
