The Warwick Historical Society will host their annual Party in the Park on Sat., Aug. 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Lewis Park, located on Main St. in Warwick. The evening will focus on celebrating Warwick’s vibrant agri-tourism industry and is the Society’s largest fundraiser. From the valley’s scenic orchards and pumpkin patches, to the wineries and cideries and the farm to fork restaurants, Warwick has something to offer everyone.
This year’s honorary chairs are the Wright Family of Wright Family Farms, the Pennings Family, and the Grizzanti’s and Jeremy Kidde of Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery.
The party will feature a signature cocktail designed by the Black Dirt Distillery, craft beer from the Pine Island Brewery, craft cider from Pennings Cidery, dinner by Grappa Ristorante and homemade desserts. Music will be provided by Soulia and the Sultans. Attendees are encouraged to bring dancing shoes.
The cows, which can be seen “grazing” on the Old School Baptist Meeting House lawn, were designed by students at eight of the local schools; Greenwood Lake Elementary and Middle Schools, Park Avenue Elementary, Sanfordville Elementary, Warwick Middle and High Schools, Golden Hill Elementary and the S.S. Seward Institute. These cows will be auctioned off at the party. Online bidding has begun. For more information, visit www.whsny.org.
Tickets are $95 for Historical Society members and $125 for non members and can be purchased by calling the Society at 986-3236, ext. 101. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will be available until Fri., Aug. 17.
