Warwick’s Repair Cafe is a free community meeting place where people can bring broken items to be repaired for free. The only charges incurred would be for lamp or bike parts at cost. The repair coaches are men and women with significant skills who generously volunteer their time for this non-profit project, which is open to everyone.
Citizens can bring lamps, small electrics, clothing, textiles, soft toys, jewelry, bicycles, things made of wood, and knife and tools in need of sharpening. There is an adult-supervised Kids-Take-It-Apart Table to keep the curious young ones entertained.
The Repair Cafe is held on the third Saturday of every other month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Warwick Senior Center, located at 132 Kings Hwy. in Warwick. Upcoming dates are Sat., Jan. 20, Sat., Mar. 17, Sat., May 19, Sat., Jul. 21, Sat., Sept. 15, and Sat., Nov. 17. There is a limit of two items per person.
