The Warwick Summer Arts Festival kicked off on Wed., Jul. 26 and culminated with performances during the Warwick Sesquicentennial on Sat., Aug. 5.
Music and Dance on the Lake was held on Fri., Jul. 28 at the Wickham Woodlands Park. Dances by choreographers Davalois Fearon, Barrington Hinds and Kristen Prescott, of the Hudson Valley ballet, were presented, followed by a performance by Julia Jacklin, a singer and songwriter.
The Dusklit Art Bazaar was held on Sat., Jul. 29 at the Seligmann Center in Sugar Loaf, curated by Olivia Baldwin and Cody Rounds. Artists and interactive installations created microenvironments responding to the changing light of the sunset.
Conscious Fork Restaurant, located at 14 Railroad Ave. in Warwick, hosted the “Front Porch Artist” event on Mon., Aug. 3. Artists and local children gathered to exhibit their work. The Warwick Summer Arts Festival hosted several evening performances at the Warwick Sesquicentennial community BBQ held on Sat., Aug. 5. The Rock Underground School, local hip-hop artist Miranda Writes, Chemical Catastrophe who was the Battle of the Bands winner from Warwick, and the Warwick Dance Collective, to name a few, graced the two separate stages at the event.
