Step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs fans have come to love, including “Belle,” “Gaston” and the crowd-pleasing “Be Our Guest” as well as all of the lovable characters people have come to know.
The story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress because of his arrogance. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out; if the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Beauty and the Beast is being directed by Nick DiLeo, with Donna Nestor producing. Joining them are high school music teachers Chris Persad and Noreen Hanson as musical directors, and Beth Maisonet returning to choreograph.
