By sixth grader Kelly Wendt & fifth grader Samantha Brady
Local students in grades first through 11 have joined Fiddle Frenzy, a group under the direction of Christy Brown, orchestra teacher at the Warwick Middle School. They have learned to play a new style of music on their string instruments called fiddling. These fiddlers learned new pieces by ear and continue to be inspired by the talent of their teacher and other trick fiddlers, such as Natalie MacMaster.
Fiddle Frenzy played at the Irish Festival in Washingtonville with Emish as part of the Warwick Summer Arts Festival and at ShopRite in Warwick. Keep an eye for this awesome group of kids.
