Story by Ben Tate
A benefit concert for the Warwick Food Pantry was presented at the Warwick United Methodist Church by the students of Kathryn Alicia Tate on Sun., Jun. 4. Students from surrounding towns in the Hudson Valley and New Jersey sang songs in many languages and styles from classical to pop. A few even featured their beginning piano skills. All were accompanied by Kimberly Dunkin, a middle school music educator from Westchester.
Many of Tate’s students participate in other venues as well, such as the Orange County School of Dance, M’Laine Hunter Dance, the Jubilate Choir, the Acting Out Playhouse, and the New York Performing Arts Center. The highlight of this event was the donation of some 28 bags full of non-perishable food for the Food Pantry.
