Students in the Greenwood Lake School District raised $1,050 for The Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation on Fri., Oct. 14. Students & staff members donated at least $2 and wore pink throughout the day. The most ‘pinked out’ students in each building will receive a lunch of his/her choice from planet pizza.
The money raised by the School District will help to support families impacted by cancer in the Mid-Hudson Valley as well as create awareness for the many people affected by this illness. The Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is a local foundation with a mission to fund support services, outreach, and education for people affected by breast cancer within the eight counties of the Hudson Valley: Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, Ulster, Westchester, Columbia, and Greene.
