The Villages of Warwick, Greenwood Lake and Florida will start flushing fire hydrants in November. Residents may experience some discoloration of water during this time. Although the water may be discolored, it will clear up and it is not harmful.
Village of Warwick
Starting on Tues., Nov. 1, from approximately 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. hydrants flushing will begin in the Village of Warwick, and continue every evening until all the fire hydrants are completed. Residents may also experience some pressure problems while the fire hydrants are being flushed.
Village of Greenwood Lake
The Village of Greenwood Lake will be flushing hydrants from Mon., Nov. 7 through Fri., Nov. 11 between the hours of 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Village advises that residents avoid doing laundry during this time. If anyone has any questions call the Village Hall at 477-9215.
Village of Florida
The Village of Florida will be flushing fire hydrants beginning on Mon., Nov. 7. The water may be discolored for a short period of time and should not be used to launder clothing while discolored. It is usable for all other purposes. For more information call Tim Brunswick at 651-4332.
