Gear up for some Halloween fun at the “Trunk or Treat” event on Sat., Oct. 29 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Warwick Valley Middle School, located at 225 West St., as a fundraiser for the Warwick Valley Humane Society. Hosted by the Warwick, NY Parents Facebook Group, trunk set up will begin at 2:30 p.m. Cost is $5 per car. There will be a parade at 3:30 p.m.; trunk or treating from 4 to 5 p.m.; and the winners will be announced at 5 p.m. For more information visit their Facebook page.
Village of Greenwood Lake Halloween Activities & Parade
The Greenwood Lake Chamber of Commerce will sponsor trick-or-treating on Windermere Ave. on Sat., Oct. 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Village of Greenwood Lake. The Greenwood Lake Volunteer Fire Department Halloween Parade will take place also on Windermere Ave. at 4 p.m. And the ghoulish fun will continue in the CVS field with the Greenwood Lake Coalition’s “Terror on the Trail” at 10 p.m.
Haunted School House at Warwick Valley Community Center
The Warwick Valley Community Center, located at 11 Hamilton Ave. in Warwick, will turn into a Haunted School House on Sat., Oct. 29 and Sun., Oct. 30 from 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and it is advised that children under 12 be accompanied by a parent. For more information call 986-6422.
Village of Florida Halloween Parade
The Florida Fire Department will hold their annual Halloween parade on Mon., Oct. 31 on Main St. in the Village of Florida. Line-up will be at the firehouse and the parade will start at 6 p.m. Immediately following the parade the festivities will continue at the firehouse with costume judging and prizes awarded and refreshments will be served.
Halloween Parade in Village of Warwick
The Village of Warwick Recreation Department, along with the Warwick Lions Club, will hold a Halloween Parade on Mon., Oct. 31 on Main St. in the Village of Warwick. Line-up will be at 4:30 p.m. on Church St. and the parade will step off at 5 p.m. The parade will proceed along Main St. to Railroad Ave. and the Railroad Green. Participants are asked to steer clear of the railroad tracks. Railroad Ave., will be closed to traffic for the event. Also roads that will be closed from 4 to 8 p.m. for the safety of trick-or-treaters include: Oakland Ct., Welling Ave., and Orchard St. from Elm St. on, heading west.
