The Knights of Columbus Council No. 4952 hosted a Fish Fry on Fri., Mar. 9, organized by Grand Knight Lloyd VanDuzer. The biannual event has been going on for 15 years and took place for the first time in a new location at St. Stephen’s gymnasium. The event was previously held in the Village of Florida NY.
The fish fry offered a variety of food and drinks as well as a 50/50 raffle. Food was available for both sit down and take out consumption.
John Pacos, a member of the Knights, said that the event is a great way to bring the community together. It provides a reason for people to come out and socialize on a Friday night for a good cause.
The event was held in order to raise money for the Knights, who do charitable work around the Warwick Community. Some of the charitable works the Knights take part in include raising money for books for children, supporting families in need, holding food drives, and assisting future priests.
