Most parents and caregivers did not grow up with tablets, cell phones and 24-hour access to the internet. Understanding what cyberbullying is and how to address it is critical in order to guide and direct youth safely through the digital world.
“Let’s Talk About Cyberbullying” is a hands-on, free workshop for parents and caregivers of children of all ages, which addresses the what, where and how of cyberbullying; how adults can help youth who are bullied; strategies to help youth avoid bullying others; and about the critical role of bystanders.
The workshop will be taught by Cornell Cooperative Extension on Wed., Jan. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. (snow date: Wed., Jan. 18) at the Warwick Valley Middle School Media Center, 225 West St. in Warwick. For more information or to register for this free class, call 344-1234.
