The Greenwood Lake Winter Classic Hockey Tournament is scheduled to be held on Sat., Feb. 3 starting at 7:30 a.m. as an all-day event at the Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park. This pond hockey-style tournament, put together by the Helm in partnership with the Village, will be comprised of 24 hockey teams from all over the tri-state area. Although the ice appears safe enough to have the event, we are watching the weather, and the ice, very closely. If the event moves forward, there will be food, a craft beer truck, a DJ, and some great hockey played all day. The decision to move forward or cancel the event will be made on Thurs., Feb. 1. The “rain date” is Sat., Feb. 10. Please check the Greenwood Lake Winter Classic Facebook page for more updates – spectators are welcome!
