I would like to thank everyone involved in making this past weekend’s celebrations a memorable success. The parade had hundreds marching alongside community leaders and organizations. The GWL Fire Department hosted a great community bbq at their new firehouse – providing tours of the firehouse for all to see. Thank you to the First Responders for keeping everyone safe that day.
The fireworks had a bit of a glitch – for the first time in many years. We can call it an unintended intermission. But the fireworks company, Fireworks Extravaganza, was able to recover quickly and continue with a wonderful show. On a final note, I would like to thank our citizen of the year, Bernie Fink and the Fink family, for leading the parade along with our Legion’s Color Guard.
