Editor Jennifer O’Connor & the staff of the Warwick Valley Dispatch thank Greenwood Lake Mayor Jesse Dwyer for his kind words of appreciation to the Town’s hometown paper that has served the community since 1885. In Mayor Dwyer’s column, published in the Jan. 25 issue, he wrote:
Thank you to the Warwick Valley Dispatch
This past week, I had the privilege of presenting my State of the Village Address to the community and audience present at the Village’s monthly Board Meeting. To avoid redundancy, I will not repeat here the coverage that the Warwick Valley Dispatch has provided in their GWL section of this week’s newspaper. I would like to say, however, that the Dispatch has provided a tremendous service for the Village and its readers. We, in the Village, are at a serious disadvantage without a “local newspaper.” But the Dispatch has done an outstanding job filling that void, ensuring that all Village Board meetings are covered and always providing us with the opportunity to share our events and messages. So, thank you to the Warwick Valley Dispatch for your continued service and commitment to the community over these past years.
