The last official week of summer, and it has really been beautiful! I hope you’ve all been able to have the chance to get out and enjoy the parks in the Village of Florida. I’d like to take this chance to remind everyone using public spaces to be respectful and courteous to other park goers by putting your trash in the provided garbage cans, and if you smoke please be mindful of others around you who don’t.
A little courtesy toward one another will go a long way. I recently saw a Facebook post of a young Florida resident who took an initiative to clean up the parks; it really made me smile. I’d also like to take this opportunity to remind the residents of Scanlon, Cedar, Birch and High View Streets to contact Village Hall to schedule installing your water meters.
A message was sent out earlier in the year, but we have had only a very small percentage of people actually contact the Village for their meter installation. This is a mandatory meter that can help us manage our great water resource more accurately and efficiently, so please call Village Hall at 651-7815 to schedule your installation as soon as possible.
