The following column, written by Village of Florida Mayor James Pawliczek, has been published in the Mar. 1 issue of the Warwick Valley Dispatch:
The Village has received complaints regarding the use of ATV’s on the Village streets. It is against the law for any unregistered vehicle to be driven on Village streets, parklands, parking lots or property, and any private property in the Village without the owner’s consent. These vehicles are not intended to be used within areas like our Village. The police department has issued many warnings, which have been ignored. Going forward, if you are stopped on an ATV within the Village, it will be impounded.
Please remember that there is no overnight parking on Village streets. The police department is issuing summonses.
