Parking in the Village has become a big concern. The Village plans to black top and improve the area between the Village Hall and the Firehouse with the $50,000 grant we are receiving with the aid of State Senator John Bonacic. This project, upon completion, will increase our parking capacity by about 24 cars.
There are three Senior Clubs in the Village that meet on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If one of the clubs decides to sponsor a trip on a day that another meets, there are not enough parking spaces for both the meeting members and the people going on the trip. To maintain harmony, it may be necessary to restrict access to the parking to the group that is meeting on a given day until after the area is black topped. Even then, there may not be enough parking for both activities. It would be best if these groups could come to an agreement that is fair to all.
