A website for Meals on Wheels of Warwick that provides a comprehensive overview of the history, mission and contact information for the organization is now available on Bing, Yahoo and Google search engines. The direct web address is www.mealsonwheelsofwarwickny.org.
This informative website provides access to those in the community who are temporarily or permanently unable to cook for themselves with information about services. The ‘refreshed’ logo incorporates the helping hands of Meals on Wheels of Warwick with the beautiful depiction of an apple for which the Warwick Valley is famously known.
“The apple surrounds a heart representing the kindness and caring of our close community here in Warwick NY. We greatly appreciate the creativity of local artist, Femi Ford, for providing this new design for the logo,” said Jane Gareiss, Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
Meals on Wheels of Warwick delivered 11,700 meals to 75 individuals in 2017 with the help of over 100 volunteer drivers. They rely on client payments, grants and donations to cover the cost of meals and subsidies of over $14,500. Meals are prepared fresh daily at Mount Alverno for weekday delivery to clients.
