The Orange County Board of Elections would like to remind residents of Orange County and New York State that the last day to register to vote for the 2016 General Election is Fri., Oct. 14, either by postmark or in person at the County Board of Elections. You may also submit a change of address, name or party by the same date. A state-wide local registration day will be held on Sat., Oct. 15 from 2 to 9 p.m. In addition, Orange County will also be holding a local registration night on Thurs., Oct. 13 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Local Registration Day will be held at town and city halls throughout Orange County on both days with the exception of the following municipalities: Cornwall at the Cornwall Ambulance Corp, 1 Clinton St., Cornwall; Goshen at the Orange County Board of Elections, 75 Webster Ave., Goshen; Middletown at the Midddletown Senior Center, 62-70 W. Main St., Middletown; Monroe at the Monroe Theatre, 34 Millpond Pky., Monroe; New Windsor at the New Windsor Community Center, 555 Union Ave., New Windsor; and Tuxedo at the Tuxedo Train Station, 240 Rte. 17, Tuxedo.
The office of the Orange County Board of Elections at 75 Webster Ave. in Goshen will have extended hours on Thurs., Oct. 13 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Sat., Oct. 15 from 2 to 9 p.m. for residents for local registration. Absentee ballot applications are available on the Orange County Board of Elections website at www.orangecountygov.com/elections or in person at our office at 75 Webster Ave. in Goshen Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
