The Warwick Historical Society and Vastu Yoga will sponsor an Outdoor Summer Yoga Series will begin on Tues., Jun. 13 and will be held every Tues. at 6 p.m. in Lewis Park, located on Main St. in Warwick.
The classes will offer gentle beginners yoga to de-stress from a busy workday. The class will feature stress-relieving yoga to stretch and strengthen the body gradually with an emphasis on building awareness of the breath and the body in yoga postures.
Aura Lehrer, of Vastu, located at 17 Main St. in Warwick, will lead the series. Her classes are a celebration of life, kindness, compassion and self-acceptance. She blends vinyasa-inspired yoga with Chakra visualization, guided meditation, and a loving touch to all.
Attendees should bring their own mats and water, though a limited number of mats will be available. Plan to meet 10 to 15 minutes prior to the beginning of class. Classes are $15 for non-members and $10 for members of Vastu. Five class passes are also available at a cost of $70 for non-members and $45 for members.
