A group of parishioners from St. Stephens RC Church in Warwick recently volunteered at the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley warehouse in Cornwall-on-Hudson. During the two hour shift, along with a few other volunteers, they sorted & packed more than 7,000 pounds of frozen meats, all of which was donated to the Food Bank from area supermarkets. Though it seems like a really large donation, that meat will likely last just two to three weeks for distribution to food pantries & soup kitchens in the area. The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley is always in need of volunteers. For more information or to become a volunteer visit www.Foodbankofhudsonvalley.org.
