The Warwick Police Department received a report of a male attempting to pry open a window in the rear of 16 Ridgefield Rd. in the Village of Warwick on Thurs., Feb. 1 at 5:20 p.m.
When Police Officers arrived at the location, a male ran from the Officers into a wooded area behind the home. Warwick Police immediately set a perimeter in the area and notified a K-9 Police Officer to respond.
A short time later, the Officers observed Max W. Lennon, 27, of Warwick, walk out of the wooded area onto Laudaten Way. Lennon was positively identified by the initial Police Officers who responded as the male who fled from the rear of 16 Ridgefield Rd.
According to the Warwick Police Department, Lennon was transported to the Warwick Police station where he admitted to Detectives that he was attempting to break into the home. Lennon was charged with Attempted Burglary in the 2nd degree which is a felony. Lennon was arraigned by Judge Peter Barlet and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $1,000 cash bail.
