The Village of Warwick Merchant’s Guild has scheduled their 19th Annual “Ladies Night Out” for Thurs., Aug. 25 from 3 to 9 p.m. in downtown Warwick to benefit Safe Homes of Orange County, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate all forms of domestic violence through education, outreach and provision of services to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
The Village of Warwick Merchants Guild invites everyone, but in particular, the ladies, to come downtown and indulge themselves with specials and treats offered by participating businesses. One of the most popular aspects of “Ladies Night Out” is the crowning of a “Queen for a Day” by Mayor Michael Newhard. In recognition of a special lady and her generous spirit, caring heart, and selfless nature, the Queen receives a generous basket overflowing with gifts provided by local businesses.
The Railroad Green will be hosting several activities such as a women’s self defense demonstration pole dancing, and Zumba Dance Fitness. In addition to the many specialty boutique stores in Warwick, there are also outside street vendors. Anyone interested in participating in the event as a vendor should contact Corrine Iurato at 986-9463 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
