Members of the Teen Advisory Board, fifth through twelfth graders, created more than 60 colorful bottles with the help of Amy Lewis Sweetman, from AGRISCULPTURE.
“All bottles and craft materials were recycled,” said Lewis Sweetman. “These gorgeous bottles will be available at TreeCycle to place onto the metal tree armature I’m welding out of scrap steel rods and a left over steel slab for a base. I believe TreeCycle is an incredible community program, and its results can educate and inform far beyond the weekend festivities.
Local artists and community groups built trees out of recycled material at this year’s TreeCycle event that was held in April at Wickham Woodlands Manor. The event also featured the work of more than 30 local makers with live demos, kid’s activities and performances.
