A group of sixth grade students from the St. Stephen’s Religious Education Program organized a collection of gifts and items of need for local charities. They were assisted by teachers Patty Rodrigues, Ann Marie Banker and Wake Banker. Instead of asking, “What will I get for Christmas?” these students decided to give back to those in need. All the toys collected by the students will go to the Alamo Farmworkers Community Center, located at 888 Pulaski Hwy. in Goshen. Other items collected will be donated to the Mother’s Cupboard Ministry at St. Stephen’s. This ministry provides diapers and baby wipes for families. The students also made holiday cards to be sent to a local nursing home to spread holiday cheer.
